Objects that are on a map can be moved from one layer to another. e.g. if there is a change of ownership for areas of land and/or buildings, or if field tenancies change.
Objects can also be copied onto a different layer. e.g. fields on the standard field layer can be copied onto crop layers, sections of road on the standard road layer can be copied onto an ownership layer.
The videos below show how to use both Copy to Layer and Move to Layer.
Copy to Layer
This example shows two areas of land being copied onto a “Council owned land” layer.
Move to Layer
This example shows a change to a farm cropping plan – two fields are being moved from a “Potatoes” layer to a “Barley” layer.
