Deleting objects from a map
To delete objects from the map, first unlock the relevant map layer(s). To do this, click on the padlock symbol next to the map layer so that it is red:
When you have unlocked the map layer(s) in question, then select the object(s) on the map to delete, by clicking on them. To multi-select objects on the map, hold down one of the Control keys on your keyboard and then click on each object. If you accidently select something that you don’t want to delete, then keep the Control key held down and click on the object again – this will deselect it and you can continue to select other objects.
Once you have selected all the objects delete them by:
- Clicking the Delete button on the button bar….
Or pressing the Delete key on your keyboard
Deleting everything on a map layer
If you want to delete everything on a map layer then click on the layer name, right click on the relevant layer and then click on “Select layer objects”. This will select every object on that map layer.
Deleting them is the same as above:
- Clicking the Delete button on the button bar, or…
- Pressing the Delete key on your keyboard.
Deleting a map layer
If you want to delete a map layer then click on the layer name, then right click on it and click on “Delete map layer”.
NOTE: This will delete the layer and every object on that map layer.
